A quickie to help you get to hump day

This will be a quick weekend update since I am totally uninspired on what to write even though I had a very eventful weekend. Words can't express how terribly sad the tragedy in Newtown made me. I cried a lot that day. I cried because I'm a mom and cried because I could not do a thing to bring those sweet little babies back to their moms. I cried again as I picked up Liam from school that afternoon and cried when I sang my sweet Amelia to sleep.
Horsey ride from Dad
Friday I did my dreaded 8 mile run for the week. My 7 mile run was rough (check it out here) due to not training over Thanksgiving, so I was pretty scared. Well, training my friend is definitely the key to not feeling like you are going to pass out on a run, my 8 miles felt just as good as a quick 3 mile run.
8 miles only 7 minutes slower than my 7 mile. LOVE IT
Saturday night I had the distinct honor and privilege of meeting a very well known blogger (and hopefully someday author) Lindsey over at The Real Nancy Clue - seriously, if you don't follow her, she has an amazing way with words and her story is starting to get good! Check her out. We had some good laughs and I hope to meet up with her again someday..
Her camera took a much better photo of us.. and Im a midget!

Sunday was a much anticipated brunch date with my BRATS (long story on the name). It's a bunch of Rugby girlfriends and wives that are involved with the Rugby club my husband used to play for. Such an awesome group of women. Love getting together with them. We went shopping after and didn't end up home until about 5pm, so needless to say we had a good time.
The only way to endure the mall at Christmas? Drinks along the way my friend

So that was my weekend. I hope yours was filled with as much fun, family and friends as mine was.
